At the 4th regular absentee meeting, held on December 3, 2021, the National Drugs Council (NDC) adopted the Annual national report on the problems related to drugs and drug addictions in Bulgaria for 2020.
The report is prepared annually by the National Focal Point on Drugs and Drug Addictions (NFP) with the support and adoption by the NDC, a body within the Council of Ministers that determines and coordinates national policy in the field of drugs and precursors.
The implementation of this report was supported by more than 100 partners – ministries, departments, organisations, centres and experts. Dozens of studies initiated and carried out under the direction of the NFP were used for its preparation.
The report presents data mainly for 2020 and reviews the situation and trends related to drugs and drug addictions in Bulgaria, tracking the development of a wide range of indicators related to drug use, demand and supply, public health issues, drug policy and responses to drug use and drug addictions.
