Prevention and information centre on the problems of drug addictions of the Sofia Municipality organised a sports festival on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking (June 26).
In a race with “Dragon Boats” at the National Rowing Base “Sredets” – Pancharevo, dozens of school student volunteers from the capital’s schools took part in the National Programme for the Prevention of Drug Use “Peer to Peer”.
The convincing winner was the students from the National High School in Finance and Business (NHSFB). The medals of the first three places were presented by Ralitsa Dragoeva, secretary of the Municipal Drugs Council – Sofia. All participants also received special certificates.
The sports festival was another way to express the general commitment to the fight against drugs and to encourage young people to lead an active and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
