How is Europe’s opioid market evolving? What substances are causing the most concern today? How are countries responding to cannabis use? This is among the issues highlighted today by the EU Drugs Agency (EMCDDA) as it launches its European Drug Report 2024: Trends and Developments in an online press conference.
Based on data from 29 countries (EU 27, Türkiye and Norway), the online report delivers the latest overview of the drug situation in Europe, exploring long-term trends and emerging threats. The comprehensive analysis covers drug use and supply as well as drug-related harms and responses to them.
Over 100 interactive graphics complement the analysis, while dedicated interactive dashboards allow users to visualise data and trends at European and national level. Data journalists and researchers will be able to access the source data for easier sharing and re-use. The resource is designed to be read across a range of devices (PCs, mobiles, tablets).
Accompanying the report is the 2024 Statistical Bulletin containing national datasets.
